Pluralism Sunday is a way of living out Point #2 of The 8 Points of Progressive Christianity from progressivechristianity.org:
By calling ourselves progressive Christians, we mean we are Christians who affirm that the teachings of Jesus provide but one of many ways to experience the Sacredness and Oneness of life, and that we can draw from diverse sources of wisdom in our spiritual journey.
Pluralism Sunday is May 5. But we're having our service on Saturday, April 27 at Grace Lutheran Church, San Francisco. That's because we’re going to post the video on progressivechristianity.org as a resource for those planning for May 5. We'll also be live streaming on Facebook. If you're in the Bay Area, come and join us live at 3:00 pm.
By the way, May 5 is the first day of Ramadan. Pluralism Sunday is an excellent way to affirm and celebrate the friendship between our religions.
Yours in plurality,
Susan
