At the grocery story, I have an unwritten set of rules that I use to decide who is kind and who is selfish. When someone hits me with their cart accidently, if the person is wearing hospital scrubs or is wrangling kids, I assume they are distracted or worried about other things. These individuals are not unkind, they are distracted for noble reasons. If the person is dressed in a corporate way or has a logo from a workplace that annoys me, I assume they are hitting me with their cart because they are selfish.
